Zero Waste Humboldt has designed a workshop specifically for the boards and staffs of Humboldt County’s large outdoor events. With great music, food, arts, and crafts, the redwood coast is known for attracting large crowds to its fairs and festivals. This workshop will be an opportunity for you to learn zero waste methods, trends in outdoor food service, and to discuss with other local event producers creative approaches to reduce waste, overhead costs, and waste-handling labor. Zero waste professionals, Margaret Gainer and Maureen Hart, will be joined by food waste expert, Juliette Bohn, Juliette P. Bohn Consulting, to lead the workshop.
The workshop is scheduled at 2:00 to 4:30p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at the Humboldt Area Foundation, 363 Indianola Road, Bayside, CA 95524. Zero Waste Humboldt requests a donation of $10 at the door. Workshop trainers want to review participant surveys in advance and to email workshop information to participants, so it is important to RSVP before November 2nd by email to email@example.com .
